Breakfast
Upon your arrival at
Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), our airport representative will be there
to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time,
the pre-trip meeting will be held either on the first day or within the first
hour of the second day. Later in the evening, you will be treated to a
traditional Nepali welcome dinner. Your overnight stay at the hotel includes
the welcome dinner.
After your morning breakfast, you will be met by your guide for a sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. The places you will visit are:
Swoyambhu Nath Stupa: Situated on top of a hill, Swoyambhunath Stupa is a sacred Buddhist site, also known as the monkey temple. The stupa, shaped like a dome with eyes on all four sides, is incredibly beautiful. The view of the entire Kathmandu valley from the top of the stupa is breathtaking.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: Located in the heart of Kathmandu, Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the ancient palaces in Kathmandu Valley (the other two being Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square). The Durbar Square encompasses a palace, a courtyard, temples, and various statues.
Pashupatinath Temple: This sacred Hindu temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, also
includes many other temples. This UNESCO World Heritage site is magnificent in
structure, and the holy Bagmati river that flows alongside is where cremation
rituals are conducted. After the sightseeing, we will proceed to the beautiful
Nagarkot Hill to witness the magnificent sunrise and sunsets that the hill has
to offer. Breakfast is included.
Rise early to catch the sunrise and have breakfast. Then, your
guide will take you for a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. You will visit the
following places:
Boudhanath Stupa: Located on the
northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu, this is a significant site for Buddhists.
The stupa is a magnificent work of art and beauty, with a dome, mandala,
pinnacle, and umbrella. The recently renovated stupa provides serenity to the
bustling city after the earthquake.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square: This ancient palace
is adorned with temples, courtyards, statues, and ponds. Bhaktapur is also
known for its famous Juju Dhau (yogurt), the Lion Gate, and the Fifty-five
window palace. The Lion Gate was constructed by King Ranjit Malla as the
entrance to the courtyard. Breakfast included
After breakfast, we drove to Patan for sightseeing. In Patan, we visited several places:
1. Patan Durbar Square: One of the three durbar squares, Patan Durbar Square offers a bunch of temples, including the Krishna Temple, Banglamukhi Temple, various statues, palaces, and the courtyards of ancient kings.
2. Patan Museum: Located within
Durbar Square, it has a collection of ancient Kings, their weapons, utensils,
and more. After the sightseeing, we returned to Kathmandu, where we bought
souvenirs and gifts and spent the rest of the evening relaxing and strolling
around the streets of Thamel. Finally, we stayed overnight at a hotel, with
breakfast included.
This is your final day in
Kathmandu. Following breakfast, our guide will pick you up 3 hours before your
flight and take you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure.
Breakfast is included.
