I am Devi Prasad Amgain, and since 2004, I have been leading treks and tours across the majestic landscapes of Nepal. I was born in Gorkha, a serene Himalayan village perched at 1,375 meters, where my love for the mountains and nature was first nurtured.
Beyond guiding travelers, I am a researcher and social worker, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. My journey in social service began in 2001, and today I am honored to serve as the Vice President of Village Environment Nepal, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering communities and protecting our environment. Our organization is officially registered under the Organization Administration Act of 1977 and affiliated with Nepal’s Social Welfare Council.Through my travels to over 25 countries, I have embraced diverse cultures and experiences, deepening my understanding of people and places. I am proud to lead a team of highly experienced, insured tour guides, trekking leaders, climbing Sherpas, and support staff, all committed to making every journey safe, memorable, and transformative. For me, guiding others in the Himalayas is more than a profession — it is a calling, a chance to share the spirit of Nepal, the beauty of our mountains, and the warmth of our people. Every trek is not just a journey through breathtaking landscapes, but a journey toward connection, inspiration, and personal discovery.
