Trip Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel
Upon arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Odea Services will warmly greet you and assist you with your transfer to the hotel. After checking in and freshening up, you can take some time to relax and unwind. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner hosted by the Odea Services Team. This will be a great opportunity to meet the team and fellow travelers. We will spend the night in Kathmandu, resting and preparing for the adventure ahead.
Day 2 : Full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu
After your morning breakfast, you will be received by your guide for the sightseeing at Kathmandu. The sites you will be taken for are:
Boudhanath Stupa: Situated to the northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu, this is another holy place for the Buddhists. The dome, mandala, pinnacle, umbrella, and the whole Stupa itself is a true works of art and beauty. Recently renovated Stupa post-earthquake gives the serenity in the crowded city.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square: Bhaktapur was the capital of Nepal during the great Malla Kingdom.Bhaktapur has the best-preserved palace courtyards and old city center in Nepal and is listed as a world heritage site of UNESCO for its rich culture, temples, and wood, metal, and stone artworks. You will be taken to the attraction sites such as Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Nyatapola Temple, BhairabNath Temple, Dattatreya Temple.
Day 3 : Fly to Pokhra and Explorer
Wake up to your second full day in Nepal! After a delicious breakfast, we’ll head to the airport for a short 25-minute flight to Pokhara. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to a hotel near Phewa Lake. Once checked in, the rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace.
Take a leisurely stroll through Pokhara's vibrant streets, visit local temples, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the lake, or make your way up to the World Peace Pagoda for stunning views. For those seeking adventure, paragliding offers an unforgettable experience with incredible views of the Himalayas.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at your leisure and relax to recharge for tomorrow's exciting trek.
Day 4 : Drive to Naya Pul and Trek to Ghandruk
Start your day with breakfast and tea before we set out for Naya Pul, a scenic 90-minute drive from Pokhara. From there, we’ll continue by bus to Ghandruk, a charming village renowned for its stone houses and terraced landscapes.
Upon arrival and check-in, you’ll have some free time to explore the village, home to the Gurung community, one of Nepal's indigenous groups. We highly recommend a visit to the Gurung Museum to learn about the culture, lifestyle, and rich history of the Gurung people. For a unique cultural experience, you can also join our guide for a session to try on traditional Gurung attire.
In the evening, we’ll regroup for a cozy dinner and enjoy a relaxing time at our teahouse accommodations, preparing for the next part of our trek.
Day 5 : Trek from Ghandruk to Chhomrong
After a hearty breakfast at the teahouse, we pack up and begin our trek from Ghandruk. The trail takes us steeply downhill through a lush, scenic forest, eventually reaching a peaceful riverbank, where we’ll take a well-deserved lunch break.
With our energy restored, we continue our climb toward Chhomrong. Along the way, we are rewarded with stunning views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain), Annapurna South, and Himchuli. While the hike is challenging, it ends with a gentle descent into the picturesque village of Chhomrong.
Upon arrival, you’ll have some time to relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air before settling in for a cozy dinner and a restful night at our teahouse accommodations.
Day 6 : Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan
We start our day with an early breakfast, accompanied by spectacular views of Annapurna and Machapuchare. Our trek begins with a steep descent to the Chomrong Khola, where we’ll cross a suspension bridge. Not long after, we’ll pass a peaceful stupa, where we can take a moment for reflection before continuing on our journey.
The trail then climbs up to Bamboo Village, where we’ll stop for lunch. Afterward, we continue our trek to Dovan, passing through lush forests and scenic waterfalls. Upon arrival, you’ll have plenty of time to unwind and enjoy the serene mountain atmosphere. Whether you choose to visit local bakeries, read a book, or play cards, you’ll have a peaceful and relaxing evening in this beautiful setting.
Day 7 : Trek from Dovan to Machhapuchhre Base Camp
After a warm breakfast, we begin our trek towards Machhapuchhre Base Camp. The morning air is crisp as we hike through dense bamboo forests. The trail leads us to Himalaya Hotel, and from there, we continue toward Deurali for lunch.
The route then takes us through a beautiful rhododendron forest and past Hinku Cave, offering stunning views of the Annapurna Valley. As we approach the base of the Himalayas, we reach Machhapuchhre Base Camp, surrounded by an awe-inspiring amphitheater of peaks: Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, and the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain).
Here, we’ll take in the grandeur of the surroundings before enjoying a cozy dinner at our teahouse. Afterward, we’ll rest for the night in this peaceful mountain retreat.
Day 8 : Trek from Machhapuchhre Base Camp to Annapurna Base Camp
Waking up at Machhapuchhre Base Camp, you'll appreciate the extra effort from the previous day. Today’s highlight is the trek to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), starting from MBC under the majestic Machhapuchhre, or Fishtail Mountain. The trail leads gently uphill into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary, surrounded by towering peaks on all sides.
As you trek, glacial streams run parallel to the path, with vibrant flowers and breathtaking mountain views enhancing the journey. Upon arrival at ABC, situated at 4,130 meters, enjoy the rest of the day to explore and soak in the awe-inspiring surroundings. This evening, celebrate your achievement with plenty of photos and a memorable meal with the group at the teahouse.
Day 9 : Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo
We start the day early to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna range, offering some of the world’s most breathtaking mountain views, including Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Glacier Dome, Tent Peak, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, and Machhapuchhre. Watching the light shift across these towering peaks is an unforgettable experience.
After packing up and enjoying breakfast, we begin our journey back from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo. Today’s trek will be longer, spanning 6-7 hours of hiking as we retrace our steps, descending through the stunning landscape back to Bamboo.
Day 10 : Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu
In the crisp mountain air, the thought of hot springs keeps us motivated as we continue our trek today. We begin with an uphill hike from Bamboo to Upper Sinuwa, retracing our steps through lush bamboo and rhododendron forests, before descending to Lower Sinuwa and crossing the riverside.
The trail then climbs up to Chhomrong, passing an experimental sheep farm near Khuldighar. The final stretch takes us on a steep descent into Jhinu, where the reward awaits—natural hot springs, perfect for soothing tired muscles after the trek.
Be mindful of the steeper paths along the way, requiring careful footing as we make our way to this relaxing destination.
Day 11 : Trek from Jhinu Danda to Suspension Bridge and Drive to Pokhara
Today marks our final day of trekking. After a warm breakfast, we’ll begin our descent back to Naya Pul, retracing our steps along the scenic route. On the way, we’ll cross one of the world’s longest suspension bridges, stretching nearly a kilometer!
At the bridge, our driver will meet us to continue the journey back to Pokhara, where we will have lunch at Naya Pul. Upon arrival in Pokhara, we’ll check into the hotel, and the rest of the afternoon is yours to explore the city, shop, or unwind with a relaxing massage.
Day 12 : Drive or via Flight back to kathmandu
Today, you have the option of a scenic 25-minute flight or a 200-kilometer drive by tourist bus back to Kathmandu. Both options offer beautiful views, but the drive provides a more up-close experience of Nepal’s stunning landscape, especially along the Trisuli River.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we’ll transfer you to your hotel for a relaxing evening to unwind after your journey.
Day 13 : Free Day and Nepali Cooking Class
On your final day in Nepal, begin with a leisurely breakfast and enjoy some free time to explore, do any last-minute shopping, or simply relax. By mid-afternoon, we’ll come together around 3-4 p.m. for a special farewell event a hands-on cooking class that provides a flavorful dive into Nepali culture.
This three-hour class is as much a cultural experience as it is a culinary one. We’ll start by selecting fresh ingredients and learning traditional techniques to prepare iconic Nepali dishes like momos and dal bhat. Working together, we’ll create four authentic dishes, savoring each bite while reflecting on the incredible memories and friendships formed throughout the trek.
After our meal, a driver will return you to your hotel in Kathmandu, closing this extraordinary journey with warmth and celebration.
Day 14 : Transfer to International Airport for Final Departure
This is your last day in Kathmandu, marking the end of your journey through the mountains of Nepal. We will arrange your transfer to the airport based on your flight time, ensuring a smooth and comfortable departure.
